This is a game that can be described as a ball and bat game. It is a game of so many fans and loved by many too. It is really intense and very much fun to both play and watch. Cricket is a sport played by over 120 million people all over the world and with India being the country who plays this sport the most. It is the world second most popular sport only second to football which is played by over 250 million people. The aim of the game of cricket is to score more runs than the other team. A team in a professional cricket game comprises of 11 players. The game is played in a rectangular field called a pitch and it is 22 yards long.
There are periods in a game called innings. The game of cricket can have either one or two innings and this is decided just before the game begins. In an inning, one team bats while the other team fields. Each team has a captain and they take part in a coin toss and this tells which team will bat first and which team will field first. Just like all sports, the total number of players are in the field at the same time but in the total 11, only two batsmen are allowed. Although cricket has a rectangular pitch, this is embedded in an oval field.

This is another important skill. It also features other skills in one and this makes catchers different from other catchers. One's reflexes are really important. How you quickly perceive changes even in late moments. Alertness is also very important. One second of concentration and that's all it takes to lose the ball. Excellent hand-eye coordination is also very important. If this is lacking, you shouldn't be catching.
- Bowling Skills
This is vital for any team and everyone in the team should be great at bowling. It doesn't matter if you are a slow bowler, a medium-paced bowler or a fast bowler, it doesn't matter, just know how to do it and do it well. It has to do the momentum, balance and perfect timing. It is a game of eleven players and two teams. The fielding team must have 11 players in the field while the batting team should have just two and these two are called the batsmen.
